This project is a collaborative effort between myself and two other designers, developed during a course focused on managing complexity in design. We were introduced to GIGA-mapping, a methodology that emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, involving not only students and clients but also laypeople, professionals, and researchers from various fields. Through this process, we visualized and analyzed data to better understand and create products and services within complex systems. These systems span social, political, environmental, economic, and technological contexts, shaping both the designer’s role and the impact of the final outcomes. The methodology also draws from systems theory and game theory, providing a robust framework for tackling intricate design challenges.
